Legal Aid NSW has recently established a specialist Elder Abuse Service (EAS) at the Gosford office. The service has Commonwealth funding for 3 years under the Protecting the Rights of Older Australians Elder Abuse Service Trials.
The service is focused on supporting older people at risk of or experiencing elder abuse. To be eligible for this service clients need to:
Live on the Central Coast
Aged 65 years and over, or over 50 for our Aboriginal clients, and
Be at risk of, or experiencing elder abuse
