Human Rights, Ageing and Dementia: Challenging Current Practice

When Kate Swaffer was diagnosed with younger onset dementia at just 49 years of age, health care professionals and service providers told her to “get her end of life affairs in order, quit her job, give up study and live for the time she had left”.

Earlier this month, we were privileged to host Kate at a special ADA Australia forum, which focussed on the current dementia care landscape, and what the sector can do to assist those going through similar experiences. For those who couldn't attend on the day, we are thrilled to share this special video with you of her key pieces of advice.
